What happens if you dont pick up Meridias beacon?
If the Dragonborn chooses not to take the beacon when it first spawns, they can always return to where it was originally found to fetch it later. Going to the Statue of Meridia and receiving the quest will enable a quest marker on the location.
How do you spawn Meridia’s Beacon?
The Beacon will spawn in a random chest after you reach level 12,hence it has no set location. You can use Clairvoyance to find the beacon. Alternately, you can go the Statue to Meridia and speak to Meridia to begin the quest. (This will set a way point to the Beacon.)
Can you ignore Meridia’s Beacon?
Personally, I often just ignore it. I don’t like the quest, its given to you far too early, and I’ve never felt much inclined to use the reward anyway. When I run into the beacon, I just leave it where I found it and forget about it.

Dawnbreaker makes for a good weapon against vampires. On top of being very weak against fire, they are also considered undead, therefore they are affected by the fiery explosion.
