The 2011 event took place on Friday 18 March 2011. £74.3 million was raised on the night, the highest ever ‘on the night’ total. This was beaten by £0.8 million on Red Nose Day 2013’s on the night event. The total for the whole campaign was £108.4 million, the highest so far raised for one event.

Friday 18th March 2022: The British public have once again shown overwhelming kindness and generosity as a staggering £42,790,147 has been raised for Red Nose Day 2022, with money still coming in, taking Comic Relief fundraising past the extraordinary milestone of £1.5 billion raised since the charity began.
How much has Comic Relief raised so far 2022?
On its first outing as an annual event, 2022’s Red Nose Day raised £42.8 million – passing the milestone of £1.5 billion raised in its 37 years. The on-the-night total was £9 million less than 2021, when it reached £55 million. Donations are still coming in.
